Mas Najwa & Imran
To accommodate over 1,000 guests (including YAB Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and YAB Tun Dr Siti Hasmah), the bersanding for Mas Najwa and Imran was held at Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur.

The theme colour was deep red and rich purple. The pelamin was a domed wrought-iron canopy embellished by double-layered lanterns in red and ivory silk, and flanked by six huge arrangements of fresh flowers. Red and ivory floor-mounted lanterns were also used to line the bridal aisle. As food domes were used at the guest tables, we designed unique wrought-iron stands that enabled us to suspend flowers and candles above the domes.

Margaret McCallum worked closely with the bride’s family and helpers to co-ordinate the event, ensuring that it was run flawlessly: smoothly, to time, and without hitches!

A week after the bersanding, Margaret McCallum ran a private party for the newly-weds at KL’s Ciao Restaurant. This time the theme was Gothic! Mas Najwa’s gown, made in the Margaret McCallum workshop, was a stunning crinoline in black lace and duchess satin with a blood red Obi, complemented by black boots, jewellery and hat. The wedding cake was black with red roses; the specially-made table runners were black and red and decorated with Gothic motifs, and red flowers were used plentifully in the venue decoration.
